I have a 2009 Volvo 2.5t (FWD) and I recently installed the IPD boost gauge and the IPD HD turbo control valve. I remember seeing a while ago somewhere the stock boost pressures, but I can't seem to find them for my specific vehicle. I recall it being around 10-12 psi stock, however even under load, my gauge rarely goes above approximately 7-8 psi. My main question is, at what rev should I be producing "stock" pressure? And how can I adjust this to better tune it or return it to stock specs?

I can post a video soon if that would help better understand my issue.

The best measure of the boost pressure in my opinion is 3rd gear WOT from about 70mph. So basically a freeway overtake situation is where you want to measure.

10-12psi is likely the pressure of a T5, 7-8psi would be normal for a low pressure turbo like the 2.4 or 2.5T.

For 04-07 2.5T models, stock is 8psi. So i'd say you're good.

If the car isn't tuned and you're running the stock turbo the Ipd tcv shouldn't hurt anything. It's those with tunes running 1 bar or greater boost who get dangerous spikes.
