boost going down around 4.8K?

THere is a little problem i have right now, when i floor my car boost goes to 11 first and second gear, 12.5 in the third, but at around 4800 rpms it starts falling down to around 8 pounds. is this normal due to the size of the turbo, or is it something with the tune, tune is by inmotion
thanks

I've never heard of that tune for our car, so I wouldn't be much help. Other guys on here would have better info on if that is normal. I think our car's turbo does run out of steam around then if stock, not sure if tuned.

I am more interested in what gauge you are running and how you have it set up? I am thinking of installing one. Thanks, and good luck!

Uh...you have a tune and thats all the boost youre making? Problem.

I make 11lbs stock...and the fade happens for me too. But you should be @ a higher boost level with a tune...

The fade could also result from increased charge temps. If the intercooler is not cooling down the charge enough, the ecm will retard timing and reduce boost pressure.

You should ask this question in the IPD "tech" section. Lucky should have an answer for you.
i forgot to mention that the car didnt do this before, only recently since the outside temp started going up(Michigan weather). and for the boost pressure being low i dont think it is cause i have stage one tune, and i heard that even with stage3 tune it oinly raises boost to 15 pounds, if im not mistaking.

i bought around 8 feet of vacuum line and T-connector at local store, and hooked it up to the vacum line that passes next to front timing gear which can be seen by taking of the smaller plastic engine cover, then under the intake and ran it around and behind the battery, there is a little rubber plug you can see next and above the brake pedal somewhere. cut the hole in it and run the line trough it. I used super glue to attach the Autometer boost gauge to the left lower corner of instrument panel. it looks clear and neat. let me know if you need details or want me to take some pictures.

Pics would be cool. I've got a few ideas but pics never hurt.

ok, ill try to post them by tomorrow
check your vaccum line, might have alittle tear in the line due to being on more psi. If everything is good, might want to have a look at the turbo, might be time for a upgrade?
well it builds boost almost instantly and there is no smoke coming, and the car has low miles so i wouldnt think that the turbo is going bad..
for the upgrade, i would love to do it in the heart beat, but i just cant find enough info on what to get, i like the S60R KKK24 turbo but cant find enough info what else do i need to buy to fit it in my car..
any help appreciated
