Re: Boost Gauge Pod (JimLill)

So as I understand it, IPD delved into the area but then after making some prototypes just lost their ambition? Perhaps not enough profit for effort?
Is there one in existence or do I need to make one?
Re: Boost Gauge Pod (JRL)

A month or two, are you kidding?
They've been working on it for two years.
That's like new engine R&D time!!
It's a Boost gauge for christ's sake.
I think I'll have my boost gauge built like I want, installed in two weeks.

ok... unless you can tell me they will have the R emblem in it and it can be covered in Attacama leather to match my interior.
Then I'll wait, otherwise I think I'll just go the DIY route.

Re: Boost Gauge Pod (GrecianVolvo)

Well, I know some brilliant engineers who have horrible english. Perhaps they just don't concern themselves with it, but I don't hold that against them at work. Doesn't seem to affect their pay.
Albert Einstein who was known for not being able to remember basic information or even what he had for breakfast would often quip, "why fill my head with useless information I can easily look up in a book?"
I presumed this was an informal format. Maybe I was wrong?
I don't concern myself with spelling or grammar when I write on these
boards and I would bet a fair many here don't either.
However...
Here's an idea, instead of a discussion about boost gauges on this automotive forum, let's make it a grammar fest.
Here;
From: http://www.meredith.edu/grammar/plural.htm
Possessive forms (Bedford 36a/Hodges' 15a)
A possessive form of a noun signifies that the noun owns something:
A musician's talent
A woman's ambition
Possessive forms call for a properly placed apostrophe. Re: Boost Gauge Pod (GrecianVolvo)

Ok, well the gauge has been ordered and I went with this one.
http://www.seffects.com/parts/touG10580.htm
It was just a bit closer and really not good enough IMO, but after searching for 8 hrs, ...it'll do. The price was low enough that if a better gauge ever comes out, I won't have any heartburn over how much was spent on the R' Active.
I' haven't decided for on either a single A pillar pod with matching gray cloth cover to help blend in or to go with a column pod in black, which if I do that, then I may go ahead and get a pyro and do a dual column pod, which I haven't found any specific one's that fit, only a semi-universal type like this one.
http://www.sfxperformance.com/parts/AUM15014.htm
No dual A pillar pod for sure. (Just not for me)
Anyone found a dual coulumn pod specific to the 60R?

That would be an ideal look. One on either side with silver bezels and blue face.
