I know this is an archived post, but you never did answer what the shift knob was. I too like it and would want to know specifically what it is and if possible, where to purchase one. Also, how did you color red the numbers so neatly? Look forward to your reply.

Yeah, he's not here anymore and I believe he sold his car.<p>The shift knob is an E90 (newest model 3 series BMW) and it's actually an automatic shift knob.
