Volvo has a great opportunity at the moment with it's T6 engine. The Automotive Press is not loving the new 3 series:

Notice the contrast to this earlier glowing review of the S60

Volvo needs to run with this and do a comparison...

an S60 beating the performance of a BMW 330i would be extraordinary.

AND Please Volvo, put a properly suited R-Design with good tires on it for the fight. With added Polestar tune, game over!! (and don't forget to include that $200 Sport Chassis too in the car to be tested; big oversight to have left that out of the R-Design standard spec)

BMWs basically suck now (except for the "F90" M5 Competition and M760Li.)

Other than that, garbage...

Probably will see the BMW booth at the Car Show, 2019 NYIAS.

The C&D Volvo article quoted a 0-60 of 5.2 seconds - I think that is the fastest time mentioned on all the articles I've read. MotorTrend measured a 5.9 sec time. I wonder if Volvo gave C&D a Polestar tuned vehicle

C&D review did NOT have a car with the polestar tune.

I have seen 5.2 to 5.3 as the tested range by the Automotive press for the S60 T6.

Not sure if MotorTrend did an actual test drive of the T6; I think they tested a T5 and implied the T6.

MotorWeek said 6.2 for the T5, so 1 second better implies a 5.2 for the T6

A time of 5.9 sounds like a T5 with Polestar optimization.

I miss the last naturally-aspirated inline six that BMW had. The three litre version.
One of the best engines I've ever experienced. Discontinued for some reason.
They have the turbo version but I really prefer the NA.
