Greetings,
We love the Bluetooth setup, however it has an annoying quirk that we've been troubleshooting since day one. When we're on a call and another call comes in on Call Waiting, if we either answer the call or ignore the call, our ORIGINAL call is dropped. Bummer.
If we answer the in-coming call waiting, we can have a conversation, but when we go back to the original call, it's gone. If we ignore the call waiting, we lose the original call.
We've changed phones two times, tried a different model, and still have the same issue. The techs can make their phones do all the tricks, but not with our phone. Am I overlooking something? Suggestions?
Volvo is getting ready to swap Bluetooth units since everything else is changed...However, I have done everything I can do?

Re: Bluetooth Disconnect on In-coming Call Waiting? (Mr. Kotter)

That's strange. Call waiting works for me, and I can't think of a time when it hasn't. If the call waiting feature operates normally on your phone when it's disconnected from Bluetooth, then it sounds like the Bluetooth itself is the problem -- the Volvo Bluetooh equipment, not your phone.

The problem gets even more odd: Volvo just changed out all of the Bluetooth gear and I still have the same issue...Time to look at the phone a bit more carefully...I've already swapped phones, changed to other phones, and I'm still pulling out (what's left of) my hair...

If you have changed phones and it is still happening then it might be your service provider or a bad SIM card. Phones are like clothing you can change them at will by removing the SIM card. Your cell phone plan is all contained on your SIM card. Your service provider should be willing to copy over your service plan to another SIM card.

We've swapped SIMs and still have the same issue...
Does anyone use Cingular and the Bluetooth setup without the Call-Waiting original call drop issue?
