Man, me and my sh*tty ass luck.
Shortly after seeing pafox's thread and leaving work to go home on a different route (why or why did I do that), I freaking hit a pot hole about 5 inches deep and 12 inches wide. I tried to avoid it w/o hitting the other cars in the lanes next to me but my right side took an unbearable hit. I am now car-less (I limped it to a Sears Auto Shop), 2 tires blown, and god knows what else is damaged. I won't know if I will have 2 bent rims or not, hell if I'm really unlucky I might even have 2 busted shocks.... gahhh.
Anyway, anyone know what price one should expect to pay? I am planning on getting 4 new tires to replace all four Pirellis, the guy quoted me $1,182 something for replacing, balancing, and 4 wheel allignment. The tires quoted were 235/18/40 Good Year Eagle F1s, the cheaper choice out of 2 that is available to me within a day. That seems a little steep no?
I just checked on tirerack also and found the Avon Tech M550 A/S which I really like. Do any of you know if they do same day or next day delivery? (I will also call in the morning)
Can anyone shed some light on the Sear's quote for 4 tires, balance, mount and allignment? Being that it's almost midnight I can't exactly call around to get the best pricing. Plus time is not really on my side here either. May even have to call in "sick" tomorrow to work.... God I hate NY roads.
Thanks in advance.
