I just got an XC60 with BLIS. It is raining today and I notice the driver side BLIS is going off a lot when there is nothing there. Is this a limitation with using it in the rain or could mine be defective? Thanks.
I have Bliss on my 07 XC-90 and it does give occassionally give false alarms when it is raining. This is not unusual in my experience.
I had one occassion where they were illuminated alot after I had the windows tinted. I first thought it might be the windows but I clean the lens and problem stopped.
Even with falsoe alerts , I am happy with the system. If nothing else it keeps me alert to the possibility of someone being beside of me.

In heavy rain, snow, or sleet, the BLIS system reads an object in the picture, hence the false alarm. In that case, the best thing to do is turn the system off. Same goes for if the lenses get dirty or caked in snow.
