Hi Guys

I drive a 1991 b204ft volvo 960 sedan.

I was woundering if somebody can help me.
I bought the bilstein dampers for the front and back.
Front fitted perfect and handles well.
For the back i have some issues.
I asked 2 times to the seller (gripendo) if those where the correct ones for me.
He said yes they will fit.
So i orderd them.
The guy who was looking for springs for me, found it very difficult to find the wright ones for my specifiek car for the rear axle. So when the springs got delivered i had the dampers already 4 weeks.
1 week later we tried the springs and dampers, and the dampers wouldn't fit.
See picture.
Gripendo didn't wont to take them back, cause the 4 weeks where over.
(they had been lying in my hall in the box, but that didn't matter.)

Now the question.
Does anyone have an idea to put the dampers (wo where produced for the 960 sedan model 95 and later=IRS2 to put those on the IRS1=960 sedan from 1991 to 1994) on my car.
My mecaniek tried to press the bush out of the old nivomats, but he stopt cause he thougt that it would break.
All ideas are welkom
Or if i can buy some bushings who are resemblend to the ones they use in the nivomats.

(If anyone has an old broken/leaking nivomat that i can buy for a few dollars plz pm me.)

So at the top(left on picture) is fitting perfect, but at the bottom part(right on picture) it can't fit at the moment.
I'm going to sweden this summer, so it would be great if those bilstein are fitted.
Now the front is very good but the back is poor at the moment.
If i want to put luggage in the trunk, its like riding up the hill :)
So if anyone has a suggestion?

Btw Thx G. Dill

Looking at the pic above...

...it appears that the metal insert in the bottom of the old shock could be modified to replace the metal insert in the bottom of the new shock.

Thats what we were thinking.
But since we don't have one at spare, we where afraid to try it.
There must be people who have these broken dampers lying in a small dirty corner.
But hey, if people can't make money out of it, why would they bother.......
I wont to pay the price of old iron :)
But is also possible that i give 5 or 10 euros/damper more.
So who can help me .... plz
