I've always said the 2007 was the best year because they had everything.

From the S60R to the XC90 V8 and the S80 V8.
They had manuals still and the price of the cars were almost $10,000 less for the base model.

And did I mention the colors?

Of course 2007 had some problems: The TF80SC had issues which got resolved in 2008, the navigation would catch fire for an unknown reason that I don't remember.
There is more but I don't remember them.

Does anyone else agree with me or do they have a a better year for enthusiasts?

2004. Still had relays for many functions later controlled only via computer. Modules (except BCM) relatively inexpensive to replace/service. Had the better automatic transmisssions/controls by 2004. Late 2004 saw the better timing belt tensioner/longer belt life.

99/00 turbo fwd.

RN. ME7. Manuals. Robust autos. Simple but still advanced (2 stage bags, 4 channel abs, dbw, cop, vvt) modules are not locked besides ecm-imm-key. 500k mile + examples running around on original drivetrain components. Faster (stock) than P2R up till the speed limiter. Carry major load without destroying rear tires due to toe in.

Can fix everything with a smaller craftsman metric set and no special tools.

All p2 are parts cars for them
