Battery problems (855, '95 model)

Hi community,

I would like to know if anybody else owning an 850 has ever had the same problems with his battery.

I think a have the fifth battery now, though my car is not equipped with too much hitech stuff; even the alarm isn`t used very often.
Problems seem to occurr mainly in the cold season, but I have not yet found out a real "proof". Or, maybe it has to do with the radio...

I'm on my fourth battery ('95 850 Trubo), and I have come to realize that the Volvo OEM batteries are not exactly the best on the market. Since the first four were replaced under warranty and had to be Volvo brand, I will probably get an aftermarket one if my curent one craps out.

I would suggest the interstate or sears die-hard batteries. They are a bit costly but go for years.

I don`t think it`s up tho the battery brand:
In Germany Volvos come with Bosch batteries (under Volvo logo); besides my new ones were of different brands.

I think the leak s somewhere in the electricity.
