I know I listen to much more bass than the previous owner and have noticed that the driver and passenger door inlays tend to rattle the most with stronger base. I'm talking abou the ones higher up, that include the door lever, not the ones down by our knees. I rest my arm on my doorsill when I'm driving and it isn't getting any worse, maybe my arm is absorbing a lot of the vibration. The passenger door enlay is beginning to rattle a little more. It takes less bass to hear that annoying rattle, in comparison to when I bought the car. Does anybody here have any ideas on how to at least stop the condition from getting worse? One idea: Take it apart and put it back in making sure everything is tight, or maybe lace it in deadening material or hot glue. Another: put deadening materials in the whole door. Another: turn down my bass, but that's no fun. My favorite: Get my girl to go out on the town more and more so she can rest her arm on the door and make it less noticeable, haha. Any suggestions welcome.

Well, it falls within the wear and tear category. I would probably go with what you wrote in that order and see what develops.

natural wear....
my guess is previous owner listened to a lot of bass which cause the natural wear.
speakers get old or loose...
now if you take your girl with you more often, where is your freedom going to go??? a nice drive solo in the c70 with music up is one of the most relaxing experiences ever hehhe
plus i dont think your should get your woman too close to other vibrating things besides you... hahahahha

Re: Bass = increasing rattle (GShyneDM)

haha, I have a rare relationship with my girl, so it's cool if she ever wants to cruise. I've taught her to drive my car well. She has no problem handling it at 140 on the freeway at 3 in the mornin, or 35 mph turn at 70mph. It's such a turn-on. She says she is gonna save for a silver c70 in canada so she can drive stick, she said auto is fine after I told her she can take my stick and shift it anytime she wants, hehe, jk. No I'm not. Haha. And the increasing rattle is only over a 3 month time, a bit much, so I'm gonna try a few things.
