I'm in the market for a new Volvo for the wife. Can anyone tell me who the best Volvo dealer is in the Baltimore area? I'm particularly interested in the service departments. After all, it's easy to smile when you're handing over the big check
, but I want to make sure I can rely on the service departments to do good consistent work.

I understand Marten's Volvo also has a good reputation. Don't know if you'd consider that Baltimore area exactly, but they are in Maryland.

Re: Baltimore Dealers (MineMapper)

Interestingly I purchased my car from Martens because of their reputation. The sales experience was good, but the service was horrible. Not once did I bring my car in that I didn't pick it up with something else broken. One time they bent a brake shield which made a terrible noise. Didn't they hear it when they drove it out of the shop?!?
Another time they had my car for 3 weeks to find a craked bushing.
I drove a long way to get there every time and it just wasn't worth it. Koons and Herb Gordon might be worthwhile alternatives.

Re: Baltimore Dealers (Freeworld)

Wow. I'm sorry to hear that. I've always had good service the few times I took my 850 there, and have heard good things from other folks too. Unless you're locked into using a dealer for service, give the guys at Scandinavian Imports a call. They're out of town a ways, but in a brand new facility. I'll never take my cars anywhere else again.
