The actual volvo emblem on the grille of my sedan has been long gone for awhile. I was parked in front of a big window the other day and had a vision of the car without the diagonal chrome piece, so I decided to just take the whole thing off.

As some of you probably know Volvo doesn't make it that easy, as the chrome trim has releifs cut into the grille. Now I know my car is not exactly a beauty pageant winner, but this wasn't going to work.

so a little plastic epoxy, tape, and sanding left me with this

and a new coat of flat black paint

I'm happy with how it turned out for how much (little) work I put into it.

haha...your driveway doesn't look too much different than mine. Besides my wagon, my Wife's ride is an `03 Golf 2.0 4dr, reflex silver w/16" Borbet Type E's, 337 front valance, and VR6 hatch spoiler.

And, YES, the grill looks great close up....thanx for the pic!

More people with Volvos and VWs
I am looked at quite suspiciously when the Scirocco gets a parking space in the garage before one of the Volvos.....sort of why would that piece of cr*p need to be inside. Not like it's worth anything
Poor little Scirocco
