We have owned a few Volvo's over the years. We got my wife an s70 just after graduating from college back in 2004 and a few years later I picked up an s40 t5 awd which was a great car. I had that for a few years till we out grew it with 3 kids. Now that the kids are older we were looking around at car again and my wife saw this 2011 Volvo c70 listed. The car is Ember Black Metallic with a Cranberry Interior (great color combo) with roughly 112k miles on it. It is pretty loaded up with options and has one of the best factory stereos I have ever heard. We picked the car up last night and I will be going over this later this week, first thing on the list will be some new tires and an alignment (tires are feathered and noisey). I am likely going to have it gone over by a Volvo specialist in the next month or two just to give it a good once over. This weekend we will be tinting the windows and next week it will be getting a thorough paint correction service following by a ceramic coating on both the paint and wheels (easy cleaning). The interior will also receive a very thorough cleaning and leather coating (again for easy cleaning). Okay onto the picture, here are a few pictures from the sales listing.

That is a solid purchase. I have a '11 myself. You can search here and elsewhere for control arm issues which cause uneven tire wear (rear) and attendant noise. I bought metal pedal covers and dead pedal cover to avoid wear and appearance improvement. New floor carpet mats also spiff things. My phone bluetooth for navigation outperforms the now aged original system. If you have the Dynaudio with amplifier in trunk that is a good system. I suspect parking sensors and theat means it has most of what was available though not BLIS blind spot cameras. Heated Seats? Mirzam wheels? Well bought.

Thanks we were pretty happy with the purchase for an affordable summer fair weather cruiser. Most of the suspension has been replaced by the previous owner, although I still plan to have everything gone over in the near future to make sure its all good. Tires and alignment are already in the works and will probably be done next month. The noise and definitely coming from the cupping on the inner edge of the tires. It does have the factory NAV which I highly doubt we will use along with the Dynaudio System. Yup it has heated seats and came with a wheel also. I am gonna have the timing belt checked here soon also as the previous owner was not sure if it was done prior to him buying it.

Nice car, and welcome to Swedespeed! I love that color combo too.
I think you'll find even though it's a great top-down cruiser, it's a pretty good car all year round.

NICE! Mine's Ember Black Metallic too, with grey interior and Midir 18s. No Nav. When people get up close and the sun is shining, they see all that sparkle in the paint. Always a surprise. My stereo is standard, but it is Really good too. They sure got that right! I got mine in December of '17. Love it!

Started working on the car over the weekend to get it cleaned up and looking the way we want it. Before starting on the paint I wanted to get the window tint out of the way and we applied 35% Ceramic Tint all around.

Once the tint was finished I started on the paint. This video shows the condition the paint was in before I started on it, which was quite rough and really masking the true beauty of this paint color.

Here are a few pictures after all the larger areas have been corrected and polished, with just smaller sections needing done yet with my smaller machines. This color really pops under the lights now.

I am gonna be pulling the wheels tonight and cleaning up the calipers to paint them gloss black with a g2 caliper paint kit. I will keep this updated as it progresses.

Well the car is pretty much finished detail wise. The wife took care of the calipers the other night while I was working on other stuff. They turned out pretty nice (much better then before).

With the wheels back on I finished up the polishing and applied CQuartz Finest Reserve to the exterior, although not perfect she is pretty darn nice looking.

The following day the tail light film came in so we finished off the back of the car with the smoked plate cover and tail light tint which was the icing on the cake. Really happy with how everything turned out.
