i was thinking of putting the B234 head on a B230 block and i was wondering what i would need to do this and about how much do you think this would cost? i was also wondering were i could get one of these heads because they are fairly rare. <br>thanks

It's simple and cheap...compared to a V8 swap. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://********************/smile/emwink.gif" BORDER="0"> However, I would call it difficult and expensive.<p>You need:<br>B234F 16V head, complete<br>B234F intake manifold<br>B234F exhaust manifold<br>relief cuts in pistons<br>custom t-belt tensioner & t-belt<br>possibly fuel system modifications<br>gearing changes to utilize the power band efficiently<p>I'm probably forgetting some parts, but that's a start. Expect to pay $100-$400+ for just a 16V head. $20-50ea. for the manifolds. I don't know what it costs to pull the pistons and have them machined, or to just have B234F pistons installed. The t-belt tensioner can be bought for $100 from a guy in Australia. Then there are the miscellaneous bits and pieces needed to finish the job.<p>I would do a turbo swap instead.
