what are the specifics of the AWD system? is it FWD until the computer detects slip or is it a predetermined all drive ratio, i.e. 70-30, 60-40, etc. I had the car on a 4 wheel drive dyno and the rear wheels were rotating. thanks.
It is front wheel drive until the abs control module detects differences in wheel speeds. The abs module will then send a message via C.A.N communication to the differential electrical module, The D.E.M will then send a pulse width modulated signal to the oil pump located on the haldex active on demand clutch. The amount of oil pressure that the oil pump is "told" to create will determine how much torque is sent to the rear wheels, So basically it is variable how much is sent to the rear wheels, There are no predermined amounts. Its a good system.
