ok so I am replacing the rear wheel hub and have found the t50 bolts threaded from outside. So I am not sure if this was modded by someone. I have to find a long shaft t50 to fit through the hole in the hub. This does make it a lot easier than what I have read on this forum. Are they all like this?

I am guessing it the same as my 05 s40 awd. The bolts are on the outside making it very easy to replace the hubs. I just used a 3/8th inch drive txx that I got in a set at Home Depot. I forget the exact size. The holes in the hub allowing access aren't all the same size. The Home depot bit was a very tight fit on the old part. I had to sand the rust a little. But the bit slid right in to the factory replacement part.

Great thanks for the reply. My Stanley set t 50 was too big for the hole in the hub I will compare it to others at Home Depot. Canadian tire has a long shaft t50 I can use as well. Yes much easier from the front. So the nut will be welded on to the back of the plate?
