Auxiliary Driving Lights

Hello All,

With the long dark winters where I live I have long been considering adding a pair of auxiliary driving lights to at least my 2011 and possibly my 2016 as well. Thinking of these: https://www.rigidindustries.com/led-lighting/83351

I haven't read on this great forum where anybody here has done this yet. So my questions are these:

1. Has anybody here done this sort of an install?
2. If so, how and where did you mount them?
3. What mounting bracket did you use?
4. What about the possible interference with the radar and the front parking sensors?

Thanks in advance for any information! Pete

Thank you all for your replies. I was quite certain that traditional lights would block the radar and/or the parking sensors and my concerns have now been verified.

I don't have any experience with the led light bars but I agree that these are the way to go if I decide to move forward with this idea. Thank you Ocean Racer and zuperman for your suggestions.

Happy solstice and Merry Christmas everyone! Pete

The light bar across the lower front grill is not a good thing for those with a T6 engine as the intercooler sits right behind that grill and it will be blocked/restrict airflow to it.

Sorry to have not responded to your post earlier Princeton. Not bad options but mounting them still is a challenge. And if they extend too far in front of the grill, they will block the radar (most important to me) and the parking sensors. I don't care about the front parking sensors but I really like the functions of the radar so I do not want to compromise it's function.

Thanks for the idea but I personally would not want a bull bar on my XC60. On my truck, yes. I also think that lights on a bull bar would probably still interfere with the front parking sensors and ACC radar.
