Hi all,
Just a quick question (and hopefully not a stupid one!) - I have read a lot of posts on iPod adapters etc. but I dont necessarily want or need a full blown adpator - I am happy to control the mp3 player from the device itself as well as simply use it on its own power ie charge it out of the car.
Is there a simple way to utilise the aux in facility on the back of the HU-803 - literally to take just the sound?
such as:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Aux-in-i...wItem
Thanks in advance

Re: Aux in for MP3 (scottp)

In a word: no. Volvo head units are made by Mistusbishi and have a proprietary implementation of the MELBUS--which is incompatible with Alpines M-bus. The only way to hook up an mp3 player is to use an adapter.
Search on mp3 or ipod and "aux in" in this forum, there are lots of posts.
