I don't have a V70 Cross Country (S60's my ride) but I couldn't help but notice the AutoWeek 4/9/01 issue, p. 12, "Car Board" take on the Cross Country. Not too complimentary. Some quotes: "If 'truck-like suggests sturdy and solid and a little on the loud and slow side, ex-SUV owners will feel right at home. Truckers may enjoy the Land Rover-esque willy-nilly approach to ergonomics...If you're willing to give up your truck's tall-and-tipsy handling, vague steering and modest braking, this ain't your ride, Clyde." What's up with this?!? Is AutoWeek anti-Volvo?!?
