I remember somebody saying that if they held the unlock button on the key fob they were able to lower all the windows automatically. I tried doing a search, but couldn't find anything.
Maybe I read wrong?

Mine does it, just no auto up, which I find weird they would do one and not the other.

Re: Auto windows down. (chrisV50t)

from what i've read it depends on the year.
so far doesn't seem like no one with an 07 has been able to do it.

i have an '07 and I can roll down my windows with the fob. I usually have to unlock all the doors first and then hold down for about 5 seconds. It doesn't work all the time but it has worked.

Holding the unlock button on my key fob winds all the windows down.
Holding the door-lock rocker-switch on the driver's side door winds them all up when the engine has started.
I've had this feature since the day I bought my car in 2005 and it has continually functioned to this day.

I've got no problems controlling the windows via keyfob...
holding the unlock key winds the windows down, and the lock key does the opposite.
2005 model...

According to FMVSS 118, you can't roll the windows up unless the window pinch force meets a specific force. I won't bore you with the details but our cars don't meet the part that let the windows roll up remotely. The dealer will program them for rolling down but you will be hard pressed to find one that will program them for the rolling up.

I have an '06, and I can use the fob to roll all windows down but not up. If you use the lock/unlock switches inside on either front door, you can roll all windows up or down.

Hence why crossie's car works both ways.

Would that part # be in VADIS? Where should I look and I'll see if I cant find it tomorrow.
Here is what it says in the owners manual....
Remote control functions
1. Lock - Press the Lock button on the remote once to lock all doors and the trunk. The turn signals will flash once to confirm locking.
2. Unlock - Press the Unlock button on the remote once to unlock the driver's door. The turn signals will flash twice to confirm unlocking.
After a short pause, press the Unlock button a second time within 10 seconds to unlock the other doors and the trunk. A long press (at least two seconds) opens all side windows.
My windows can wind down with the remote, but I have a problem that is my remote range is quite short, maybe about 10 ft. So even if I can see my car is in the hot sun and want to air the car, I can only do it about 10 ft away and it finishes winding down just as I reach the car, not much airing IMO. Is this the normal range for the remote? Should I get my batteries changed? Both remotes have about the same range.

Re: (fone)

I have the same issue of short remote range. Even after I swapped in a new name brand battery. So I don't know what to tell you. It is kind of annoying...

Point the remote at the roof of your mouth, under your chin and angle your head up 45 degrees. It works.
