Auto Trans Options 86 740

Will likely need to replace my original Automatic now with 220k miles before long. In lieu of rebuilding i was wondering if there is any newer unit with better gearing our such to consider as a swap. Appreciate any insights.

Welcome to Swedespeed, Ken.

Any used transmission would need rebuilding for reliability and a rebuilt unit would not be cheap.
