Audi has nothing on Volvo.....

Well 7 weeks after buying my RS4 and actually having it 12 days ( including weekends) Audi NA agreed to refund me all of money ( I paid for it in full and it was a problem) I was offered another RS4 and I considered it but frankly I just do not have the time to take the risk.

This has been a horrible buying exp. The dealer was ok, Audi was ok. However I brought a small team of lawyers with me and I'm sure that helped...but I wonder what their tact would have been had that not been the case.

The car has been shipped back home for study. I have no idea what I want to replace it with and may wait to see what happens over the next 12 months. 2 lemons in 4 months of cars totaling 170K is just absurd to think about...yet my S60R keeps on ticking. I think we maybe harder on these cars than they deserve.

Go Trojans!

Maybe you posted elsewhere, but what was wrong with your RS4? Too bad, it should have been a nice car.
I guess in fairness, a lemon happens to all manufacturers. I'm sure Toyota even pushes a few Camry's out there that are lemons.

Re: (flybynight)

I used to work for Audi and I can tell you direct from the horse's mouth that they have many problems and it costs plenty to fix. The guys in service departments refused to buy them!

One thing that particularly annoyed me was that you can't change the taillight bulbs yourself. It has to be done by the Audi dealer. I know this isn't a 'problem' as such, but it is frustrating that they charge you labour and parts at Audi prices for a bulb change.

I can't see where the 'premium' in Audi is. Even their new S3 is not worth the hype. It has been done better by VW themselves with the R32. I don't consider them to be on par with the likes of MB, Lexus, BMW, Jag, or Volvo. Like-for-like, the quality of Volvo surpasses Audi in many departments.

I was going to suggest the RS6 but I guess no more Audis for you!

Have you driven the new Benz, E63? 6.3L of normally aspirated power; 507 hp, priced (with almost all the options) in the $92K to $93K.

For 92-93K I think I'd step up to the Aston Martin or a Maseratti, what's 10-20K more when youre already that high

Re: Audi has nothing on Volvo..... (GrecianVolvo)

I wanted a E55 for quite sometime and the E63 is better yet. My problem is the bland styling on such a high priced AMG. I had a C43 and it continues to serve the cause as my Mom's daily but at nearly 100K it has to make me look back when I park it.
The other real problem is MBZ is just killing it's loyal AMG buyers with the constant power revisions, C43, C32, C55 and I hear C63....although R&T just announced the AMG C is dropped ( I just don't believe it with the new M3 arriving)
I had a X5 and that was fun for a whole year....then the E46 M3 and R. I was hoping hence the purchase that the RS4 would last a good 5 years for me ( ok 3) but now I see nothing that justifys 85K plus in the performance sedan segment. The E90 M3 while a performance demon I am sure is still very bland in the styling department by all shots I have seen. My dealer offered me a CPO'd M5 ( E60 ) fully loaded for 76K and 3K on the clock. However I did not like the color ( black) or the weird wood interior.....sometime BMW does weird crap on interiors. Since my wife has a fully functioning RR Sport again and I have the 545 and R maybe I will just wait and see what happens.
The E30 M3 is not going anywhere but I would like those 2 cars to become one super sedan in the near future. I don't know how you guys with multiple cars do it!

Get a Rolls Royce and then I can get really even more drunk than I am right now and come alongside you and can ask you to pass the Grey Poupon

Well, I've decided to get another V70 R. will order it this winter for a spring delivery. Mine will be at 100,000 miles and I have really liked it. I know it's not in the category of the other cars above, but it has been perfect for my life style. oclv

I was watching the Waynes World movie yesterday and in the movie they came alongside a white Rolls Royce and said that and then started laughing.

I guess I wanted to add that to my material which lately has mostly featured animal dung. There are many many fans of my powerful dung imagery do not get me wrong but I am trying to stay fresh to the scene.

Really about the drinking all the time at night I don't know, I really enjoy being drunk

Thanks Moose

Force...I wouldn't go with the M5....not enough passion, too high strung.

We'll all think of SOME way to spend your money!

Too slow for FRT and besides, it won't be here for another 6 months or so.

I have owned 2 Audi's and one Volvo. As far a pure driving pleasure goes, I prefer the Audis. And it's no contest. As far as reliability and good customer service go, it's Volvo. And it's no contest. I once read on an Audiworld post someone comparing Audi's to a drug that eventually destroys you. Sounded crazy when I read it, but I think he was on to something.
