Well, as I was backing out of a old cement driveway last night (at my inlaws house) one of the broken pieces at the end was pushed up by my front tire and pulled the front bumper almost completely off. My question is would I just need to replace the plastic piece that runs along the top (the bolts broke thru the plastic) or is there more damage than i can see (was the actual bumper attached somewhere). Im going to get estimates but I was hoping someone here could give me an idea what to expect first (Its an 850R bumper) Thanks in advance

Update - the bumper needs to be replaced (top and bottom pieces) as all of the bolt holes are ruined. One of the foglights is broken as well. The estimates have been around $1K - looks like home insurance will cover it but I wanted to ask if that sounds reasonable. The bumper is like $600 and the fog light is like $250 (good lord) Of course the bumper then needs to be painted. It just seems like such a waste of a good bumper (you would think there is another way to do it as the bumper is cosmetically perfect. Oh well.... btw my name is alex
