93 Only the best for my S-60...And as far as salesman go, ive never ever met one yet that really new the nuts and bolts of any car they sell. All they can do is crunch numbers, to push your loan thru. Your better off talking to one of the mechanics , who work on Volvos.

If anyone is saying that 87 actually damages the engine, they are lying. It will not allow you to get your full performance and efficiency from your car but the computer systems can adjust for the different octanes. Worst case scenario is you get a knock and that would be a good sign that you are not using the right fuel. The performance models require the higher octane fuels. I know the fact that I can only get 91 octane in CA means that I am not getting the full power out of my P*. The real question is this, why buy a premium car and put crap fuel in it. If someone just wants to save a few bucks, they could have saved thousands by buying a non luxury car.
Ditto....I also heard 94 octane????..All I can remember is Sunoco ultra 94. Chevron ill puts it out, ill have too see ware the nearest station is.
