Hi Guys,

I got a used very low miles (according to the junk yard seller) on eBay. I plan on rebuilding the diff maybe add some mods and then swap the entire unit. This way the downtime is greatly minimized.

The diff looks good. The AOC has the pump housing damaged from what it looks the flange dampener hinting it very hard. For that to happen the damper has had to move to an extreme angle. I'll ask the seller for a replacement pump.

But my main concern is about the play on the axle and the clunk noise I hear inside the AOC. It is not a lot but it's there. Do I have a bad unit or is that normal? Obviously I cannot test on my car as it is all bolted up.

Here is a video with what I'm talking about. You need to turn the volume up to hear the sound inside the AOC.

The intended hand movement is mainly radial although video gives the impression it's rotational.
