I remember someone here voicing their dissatisfaction with EdgeRacing but how was the quality of the SSW wheels? I am thinking of getting a set of the gray ones similar to the pegs for my summer wheels. Any pictures of them on an R would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Travis
Re: Anyone with SSW wheels (Reno R)

There's a pic of a flash green V70R with the gre SSW 18" wheels...the car is owned by ZekeUSMC. I tried a search but the function is down right now.. He also has a set of 20" in a silver/black wheel, but I think it's the 18" 5-spoke grey ones you are probably referring to....give the search function a try when it's back on line.
Re: Anyone with SSW wheels (icebiker)

i tried to order them a couple of weeks ago. they were listed on their site as being in stock for the 18"s. they didn't have them and couldn't even guess as to when they would be in. i pressed some because i like the rim and was given a weak excuse and i just passed on dealing with them. i can't speak for the quality of the rim but price seems fair.
mike

Re: Anyone with SSW wheels (flyfishing3)

Are you referring to the "Titanium" Trex wheel or the "Gun Metal" Cosmo? The Trex is a pretty sweet looking wheel at a great price. If I can hear some accolades from SSW owners, I might jump the gun and buy a set. Surely, there are other vendors out there that are more professional...
What do you think the odds are that a Volvo center cap would fit? I'm not a big fan of aftermarket logos on wheels.
- Tryg

Now, when dealing with Edge Racing call them on the phone. Get the name of the salesman and:
Make sure they have the rims in stock
Make them agree to send you hub rings
The only other caveat is that the while the spokes give great brake clearance, they do protrude past vertical edge of rim, so you would need to be careful about scratching them up.
