I don't know... I guess, to me, it's not that much better than a floor jack and some jack stands.
I disagree. My buddy has kids out of the house and a nice pension. He bought a quick jack. we put it together, then tested it by lifting his 968 to look for a leak. We didn't take the wheels off, and lifted, then dropped the car one or two times. It was nice. We then replaced the "batwing" under the front bumper/valance. having a wide open area to slide our heads under without worrying about backing into a jackstand was nice.
His control arms are shot. New ones are a grand each. Rebuilt ones are a research project. We settled on a company based on user reviews on a forum. He ordered both. They only have one core. They sent one, we took both off, and they will send his original back when it is rebuilt. In the meantime it is on the quickjack. It took a few minutes to raise the car. When the arm comes back we install it, tighten a dozen bolts, install the wheels and drop the car. His Stage 3 Roush wont have to be moved again because there is no jack to worry about hitting the car. We moved it back a few feet because I have a habit of talking with my hands, often with tools in my hands. In retrospect, with the quickjack we probably didn't need to roll it back at all.
Was what I just typed worth a grand? depends on how my back feels at the moment. Right now it isn't. Next time I work on the car in my garage I may wish I drove the 25 minutes and borrowed his quickjack.
