I know there are several board members with R cars in the area, some who were at the Ikea meet and more who weren't. I'm new to the R, so I don't know many of you guys yet. I was thinking we ought to have a smaller closer get-together somewhere up here. Something informal, maybe even after work one evening or something. I'm thinking somewhere between Portland and Portsmouth, post up suggestions on exactly where. Run of The Mill in Saco might be a good spot, I know it would be pretty convenient for at least a couple of us :).

Anyone else interested? I've at least got curt04072 and Blurry so far.

I'd also be interested in getting together for working on the cars if anyone has any fun stuff to install. I don't have a whole lot to do myself. A complete fluid change, parking brake shoes, K&N filter, fuel door hinge, and a turbo oil return line gasket are my current list. After that, I'll probably do shifter base bushings and the other wear parts in the shifter linkage. Trying to keep from going too mod-crazy on this one :).

I was just thinking a quick little thing to drag out all the locals who didn't make the drive down to Ikea, but if guys want to come up from MA/CT/wherever, I'm all for it!

Portsmouth is an awesome city (so is Portland though). I head down to the Portsmouth Brewery probably once a month or so. I'm probably not the best at planning this sort of thing, my idea of a car club meetup usually involves tearing ass around a bunch of traffic cones :D.

I'm in. Either Portland or Portsmouth works. I'd also be willing to offer up my house if people were interested in doing some work on their cars but I'm in Freeport, ME 20 minutes north of Portland.

^ Agreed, tire funding sucks. I have to find a good set of winters and they are not cheap!

Sounds like a fair deal on sneakers, especially installed and aligned. The nickle and dimeing may never end but I too am in love. lol

This looks promising! Seems like Portsmouth is the best place to bring out the most people. Someone who knows the area better might want to suggest a location to meet up that has some open parking, but I'd certainly suggest capping off the day by heading to Portsmouth Brewery :D.

As far as a date: I am thinking pretty soon - maybe May 19th or 26th? I prefer Saturdays because most Sundays I'll be autocrossing.

Anyone else up for a meetup in Portsmouth on the 26th?

Albacore park sounds good to me, right off 95, seems to be plenty of parking, right down the street from the Brewery :D.
