Working on a big project right now and just need quick verification if the front crash bar aka bumper beam is removable or if its a solid peice thats attached to the front of the car via welds?
Would just pull the bumper but i need a quick yes or no at the moment. Puts a damper on the project if so. Thanks guys.

There is a foam block that fits over it behind the bumper cover, but the beam is hardened steel, very thick and heavy, and basically a big rigid object. It's welded to the frame rails for sure. If you removed it (by cutting), you'd have to weld it back up for safety alone.
Tom.

Was going to make a new one by removing it and crushing it to gauge its strength, that way the smaller one we engineer would have the same strength characteristics. Thus having no loss in safety.

It's bolted, but it's also welded. It also may be different in different markets and safety/regulatory domains, btw.
Tom.

How did You make Out on the Bumper , If You take Your Off , I'd Like It
Would like to Mod One with Two Pull's - Instead of One , but maybe that could be done By Drilling and Welding the - Huge Pem Stand-Off - On Opposite Side . Accuracy's would be a Bit Hard .
