Hey guys, i dont own a R, unfortunately, but i figured you guys may be more likely to run 40's than everyone who owns a normal S60. I can get a real good deal on some Goodyear F1 D3 summer tires, but the website i was looking on doesnt have 235/45. Will riding on 40's make my car look weird and will it make my ride alot harsher? Just figured id ask if anyone had 45's then went to 40's and noticed if the ride got alot worse. Cause my ride is already pretty harsh, so i dont wana make it worse.

Re: (crimnlmnded)

i was thinking of putting the 235/40 on 17inch rims but i didnt know if that would make the stance very awkward or if the ride would be too rough

My S2000 had bigger tires than that lol.

It will probably look a little odd, given that the OD will be a fair amount smaller than normal (by almost an inch).
You'll also have the issue of inaccurate speedometer / odometer readings.

Re: Anyone running 235/40s? (swedeman)

Solely looking at tire diameter I guess it will look something like this,

Those are 18" Pegs but with 225/40-18 which is smaller in diameter compared to 235/40-18.
