Re: Anyone moved/relocated their horns? (chromecarz00)

I replaced my with a pair of Hella Supertones. I will admit I got the idea from S40boy and they do look great with the black Heico grille.

Here is the Hella Supertones on s40boy's car. Easy replacement, just cut the connectors off and add push on spades. The car's relay supports the load without any issues. They mount right in the same locations as the original horns.

I saw his thread, apparently someone else just mounted them backwards and it was plug play...
I kinda wanted to move them like jdsr did, out of the way completely...did you just unscrew and reattach?
Were your horns replaced before the Seattle GTG? I didn't notice...are yours the same color as the other ones (red)?

Re: Anyone moved/relocated their horns? (Modernman)

I should have just relocated mine while i had the bumper off last weekend... i dont like them with the aftermarket grilles. Id like to find a spot where they mount up factory like, ill have to take a good look for a nice spot when i remove my bumper again.

I relocated mine inside the bumper. I just bolt it onto the side of the plastic center shroud.

I replaced mine with the Hella Supertones as well. I flipped mine around to prevent water and crap from getting in them and I didn't want to see the red color. I also painted the brackets black. I made up adapters to convert the stock connector to the spade connectors so that I didn't have to cut off the original connectors.

I like your setup, its simply and looks like it doesnt require much modifications whatsoever. I like the look of the supertones just dont think its right for our cars is all.

Re: (volvoNB)

Keep at it! If you look below the air snorkel (the black plastic piece visible through the grille) on volvoNB's pic u'll see the two holes in the steel bumper where the bracket was. So to answer ur question, if you want to remove the bracket, you do need to remove the bumper. Good luck!

Quote, originally posted by volvoNB »
