That's cool you got an R. I don't think I'll be jumping ship anytime soon to an R. While they are super nice cars and have more power than the S40, I like the styling and feel of the S40 more. And with an ATP Turbo upgrade I am pretty sure the S40 could beat an R even in the performance department. That said, Rs can be made into some super powerful beasts as well. I really really like the new design for the S60 so if they ever come out with an R version of it I will definitely pick up a used one eventually.
