I am looking into the upgrades a bit more seriously, so have to evaluate even the sounds for exhaust...I don't want one of those watermelon launcher 8" pipes, just a performance upgrade on the exhaust side, to go with other ECU and engine upgrades.
Does anyone have any .wav files with exhaust sounds, or know where in the heck I can find a site that has some examples? I found several when upgrading the exhaust on my truck, but can't seem to find anything for the Volvo.
Thanks again guys

ANYONE? No one has .wav or mp3 files with sounds? I hate to buy anything without evaluating it first...and have no idea where to start on the exhaust search for my 850

Well, I think that Flowmaster has sounds on their website, but I think every model of car is going to sound different w/the same muffler on it. If you have a turbo, it'll sound different than a n/a 850, for instance, as a turbo does a bit of a job knocking down sound by itself.
I've been trying to figure out what to do for exhaust for awhile too, and have settled on either an ipd system (too much $$ for me tho) or having a shop make one for me. My problem is that there are no shops that have mandrel bending systems here, and I hear that using normally bent pipes defeats the purpose of putting on 3" pipe. I'd love to hear from someone that had a custom system, so they can say what muffler was decently quiet. If I could have what I want, I'd take an almost factory quiet sound w/ better flow that my uprated system needs.
I dunno, maybe I'll break down and order pre-bent mandrel bend pipe from Summit Racing and have a local shop cut and weld a system with either a FlowMaster or something like that.
