wondering if anyone else ever had these problems.
. having some surging issues on part throttle cruising.. at some other times the throttle response seems a bit slow or lacks responsiveness. sometimes on part throttle ther eis a delay then the rpms come in.
i suspect my MAF sensor has given up the ghost... sending car into dealer to check.

Re: Anyone have surging issues? (cicatrizdare)

i was partially right. the MAF sensor needs to be replaced. also the fuel pressure sensor.
man, my dealer really chops on part prices tho.. US$600 for the MAF sensor for parts alone, i told them forget it, can get from myswedishparts for US$238...

Man! Dont tell me these things! I thought the surging was only in my head, but now that you guys are having similar issues... ugh...
Here is a description of what my surging is like:
3rd Gear - 2000 RPMs - Press the gas pedal 3/4 - RPMs climb and the throttle hesitates every 1500 - 2000 RPMs
Its the same in 2nd and 4th (probably all the gears actually)... but I havent checked them yet.
Note: No surging when under 100% WOT... interesting *hmmm*

I'm in this same boat... I'll be taking my car in for warranty work sometime this week. I know the tech that works on my car pretty well, so I'll have him take a look at all these possibilities and I'll let you guys know what he comes up with.

OH, Yeah and then After the Code - Gods tell You what's Wrong with Your Car they will have to Install the TCV Valve , as It doesn't threw Codes but the Entire Set-up seems to Burn all those Items Up when Your T5 - is Running an ECU Tune , Go Figure .
Don't Think anyone - Ever - Tuned ECU or Turned Up the Turbo , Yeah Right they have been Turning Up the Turbo's for 20 Yrs. .
Seems Someone Figured Out a Way to Sell more Parts .

TCV = Turbo Control Valve

Re: Anyone have surging issues? (cicatrizdare)

Now, I've had my car for 4+ years now, and I haven't changed the plugs. I should have, though. Now I'm sure I've already posted about this but seeing as this sounds similar to what mine does whenever it feels like it.
Does anyone have a flashing CEL come on for about 3-5 seconds then go off when you accelerate?
Had that happen a couple of times, once it stayed on with no "reduced power" yet the engine ran like poo. Dealer said "misfire" and sent me on my way.
Cica: Just the plugs or did anybody recommend to do the coils too? Was wondering if the replacement interval is shortened due to the upgrades.

Mine was the Fuel Pressure Sensor on the rail. I originally thought it was due to a dirty MAF but that checked out fine.

Re: Anyone have surging issues? (I Saw 50)

Never Changed the Plugs , well it's most likely due , I changed My Plugs @ 17,500 miles -T5 Engine did run better.
Plugs & Mods - Shorter Interval ? , Well the Plugs will Open Up - just a Re-gaping and Good to Go .
I'd Clean the Throttle Body with the Special Cleaner -Change Out Air Cleaner and Re gap . If I Change the Plugs I wait and do that when I change the Oil ( Plugs First ) - then Oil .
I had My Plugs Out @ First 7500 Miles Just to Check on the Way they were Burning and see the Type of Plugs & Make sure they were Correct.
