Im thinking about getting some, but I dont know which ones will work in an s60. I just want them to be a brighter white color than the oem bulbs that the car comes with. Also, anyone have experience with LEDs in the interior of the car, because I think it would be really cool if I could remove the old yellow interior bulbs and put in LEDs so that the interior is a white or blue tint at night.

I had white LEDs in for the license plate on my S60, but took them out after a couple months. Too blue. It's cool for awhile, but grew to appear inconsistent with the rest of the lighting, I felt. And sense the little lenses back there were not designed for LEDs, it's hard to get a nice, even pattern of light.

I've tried 3 different style of LED bubls, and the problem with the first two was that they weren't bright enough to the extent that there were dark spots on the plate (see the picture directly above me, no offense intended).
I have on my car, from superbrightleds.com, the WLED-WHP13T, which is a stupid big bulb, but it really puts out a lot of evenly spread light.
http://www.superbrightleds.com...0.htm

deerok i think either 44mm or 38mm.
and the LEDs in the license plate looks nice IF you do it right with the right bulbs. since the way the socket is set up, bit face to the drivers side, meaning if you get two bulbs that have a narrow field of light the middle of your plate and to the left side will be lit up with a streak of white. what you have to do is get a bulb that has a wide angle of light so when it in the socket it will spread out the light evenly and look natural to the car. makes it look sharp and is a easy, cheap upgrade.
oh and i also did my puddle lights so it ties in nice.
http://forums.swedespeed.com/zerothread?id=97148

I read through the whole thread.. and more research.. Just checking...
1. Which bulbs can I exchange with the LEDs and NOT get the "BULB FAILURE" message on my trip computer?
2. The interior lights (center map lights), once replaced with LEDs, will ALWAYS stay on even during driving, whether it's day OR night?

Re: (Chilled Man)

Chilled Man: LED lights only work on 01-04 S60/V70s b/c the electrical system isn't always checking for consistency...Interior LEDs only work in the footwells and exterior LEDs only work on the license plate....the Vanity bulbs on 05-09 S60/V70s do not shut off while you are driving; they stay on dim.
