I just ran across the article from swedespeed about the new EST strut brace for the C30/S40/V50. It looks pretty sweet. Couple quick questions:
-is it beneficial to have the strut brace and an anti-sway bar? For FWD? AWD?
-worth the cost? It is around $200 I believe...
How many people would be interested? It sounds like they resolved the issue most people had with clearance issues with the Typhoon intake system.
Here is the article:
http://www.swedespeed.com/news....html

Re: Anybody purchased the new EST strut bar? Maybe we could organize a group buy... (carreragt7)

I think in combination with a nice anti-sway bar it would be beneficial. Either way, I'm in if you can talk them down a bit.

I think they do decent group buys, I'd have to do a search to see if I can find the old threads when people were buying the older style one...

If you look at how close this thing is to our firewall I really doubt it is going to stiffen up the tub if any. I think you would be much better off with a stiff sway bar than a strut brace.

Re: (kpsingh0)

I have the older version on my car... I didn't notice a huge difference like I did on my older 94 940 turbo, but I can feel a difference on sweeping turns. If you have the money, I'd do it...

I can tell you're not a US citizen, because you would know that Obama is currently working on a method to make that happen to help cover all of his bailout ideas and allow every individual citizen who agrees to take a government job to grow their own money. Also, in breaking news related to our forum: Volvo was recently purchased from FoMoCo by Malia Obama, the daughter of President Barack Obama. The President has assured all people involved that this move will enable more people to keep their jobs.
I kid, I kid. I hate politics and can't stand most any politicians...

Man you americans are friggin lucky! Here in Vancouver I have to pay extra 2.5 soon 4.5 per LITRE of gas for the government. This is called the Carbon tax trying to prevent people to drive less. This is on top of expensive gas already in Canada compared to the States. Sheesh... It just makes me want to contribute more pollution
