Hey guys, I was entertaining the idea of switching to a newer T5 but I can not for the life of me fine a low miles, decently priced T5 with a sport kit on the entire east coast! This came up and there are no pictures or details listed, the price and miles seems ok though. Is there anybody in the area that could stop by, snap a few photos or check this out for me? I would hate to drive all that way and be disappointed.

Thank-you!

I'm not too far from there(about a half hour drive) and may be able to stop by Thursday. PM me for details.

The price is a little high for what the car is. Being an automatic and with those miles, I would think $12-14 would be a good starting point. Also, being a 2008, you can negotiate a good price for CPO extension to the 7-year or 100K mark.

The reason I question the price is because I have an 05 T5 6-speed Manual, with 4C, OEM lip kit, sport interior, brand new tires (ExtremeContact DW), snow setup (blizzak lm-25 on Tirerack wheels) and I doubt I could get $16k-17k for my car as it is now with 65k miles.

You have a rare car my friend. I decided this car is not worth my time because the dealership is slightly shady and this one does not have a sport kit. Want to sell me your car? If I remember correctly you listed it for sale a while back.

I purchased the car from Josh ([email protected] and JoshV70) a little over 2 years ago...No real plans to sell it.

There are 2 T5 cars listed in the classifieds section.

West Coast S60T5A

Montreal Canada V70T5M

You'll have a hard time finding a 05+ T5 (auto or manual) as they are rare enough. Finding one with the sport kit is even tougher. Best chance is to source a sport kit separately and install it after.

Why not just get an S60R? Much easier to find, although cost of ownership will be higher.

An S60R has more problems, less gas milage and it is not so unique. Everybody and their mother has one lol- I found a 06' T5 that I am heading to the dealership to check on this weekend. It is silver with a sport kit and 85k miles- it all depends what they will offer me for my current car, if it is at least 7k I can call myself an S60 driver (again).

That '08 T5 doesn't seem bad, i'd pay that if it was clean and had the records like it says in the ad. You can add the sport kit easily so I wouldn't let that influence your decision to buy a particular car.

Has anyone actually seen this car? Does it happen to have the ABL headlights?

Yeah looks nice and does indeed have the wicked awesome ABL projector headlights which are extremely rare. But those pics are crap for a dealership to send out, how hard is it to use a modern point and shoot camera?? I like the leather and steering wheel, low mileage is a bonus - i'd take lower miles over price to an extent.

As for the sport kit, I am pretty sure you can order it from any dealership. And ViVA sells them too now apparently, for 2008.

Front, use the later part number 39999150 http://www.vivaperformance.com/genuine-volvo-sport-kit-lower-front-spoiler-s60/

Sides http://www.vivaperformance.com/genuine-volvo-sport-kit-side-skirts-s60-s60r/

Rear http://www.vivaperformance.com/genuine-volvo-sport-kit-lower-rear-spoiler-s60r/

Just checked tasca with the part numbers and they list the front for $276 and sides for $339 a piece, quite a bit cheaper than VIVA it seems huh?
