Couple of tricks to do this, but the easiest is to just remove the physical key from the fob. Lock all the doors (with you in the drivers seat). Exit the car (unlocks driver door). Lock the driver door from the outside with the physical key. Done. (Use same to unlock when you return).

I tried using the "key" from the fob, but that is not convenient as you have to pop off the door handle cover to access the door lock. So probably no easy option.
Wait, you call that "hard"? It takes about one second to pop on and off...

If you really want to avoid that you can try this:

1. Engine running, driver in driver's seat, remote key fob in hand/pocket (not in car).
2. Lower driver's window
3. Exit vehicle
4. Shut door
5. Reach through open window and hit the door lock button on the inside of the door
6. Reach through window and hit the "auto up" power window button.
7. Window will raise, everything locked, driver and key outside
8. Realize this is a much bigger faff than just using the key in the procedure I mentioned earlier :)
