When I did my oil change (at 3,000 miles) there was no problem, I actually used the same oil filter remover tool I use on my 86 Cougar. Came out no problem, just be careful as it will be full of oil since we only replace the filter element in our cars. Other then that go about it normally as you would on any other car. I hand tightened the oil filter cover and gave it a slight tighten with the oil removal tool. I believe the torque settings should be in the owners manual, but not sure.
