Well do to the diffrent offset of the Mirzam rims on my ride they are rubbing like all hell. I am either considering getting Aturis 18" or keeping my wheels and rolling the fenders.<p>I am a bit worried about rolling the fenders though. I herd it can crack the paint and do all sorts of bad stuff.<p>Any one done it or opinions on Aturis 18's on a lowered S40?

How is your car lowered? H&Rs? <p>I have Atreus' with H&Rs, it looks ridiculous, and I have never had issues with rubbing. I have 225/40 tires.

If the rolling is done correctly, your paint shouldn't crack. Correct rolling includes heating up the affected area and not trying to do too much at once. 120-140 deg F should do it. A heat gun and infrared thermometer will help a lot.

if you roll go super slow. i helped with my buddies old rabbit and we tore the first fender. but the second we did slow and progessive...and ghetto as hell.... we used a bat because it was taperd...but i dont recomend scince were dealin with a 1980 rabbit.... <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/tongue.gif" BORDER="0">

Yeah my friend was saying there is a rolling machine that can be purchased. Im going to look into that. I want to keep my wheels and have it done right or, Get new wheels, but If I get new wheels I want Atreus rims like Sani has. I wonder if the 235 tire on my 18x8s will fit a 18x7.5 rim.

Good luck if you do get em rolled, it would look kickass.<p>Also yes, a 235 would be fat, but it would fit on 7.5" width, and it might also still rub.

i did it with a rubber mallet and a heat gun<p>Also, i used the C30 fender liners for more clearence (minor adjustment needed).<p>All good now<p>I have ET47 wheels on the front and ET40 wheels on the rear (18x8 wheels). Sort of a staggered setup.<p>

Ok I rolled my fenders tonight. Worked great.<p><br>It was GHETTO AS F*** but it works exellent.<p>My dad had 1" wide grip vice grips, got some towels to place in the jaws to not damage the paint. Heat gun to 120 ish and bent away.<p>It was cake the inner liner bends like cardboard when hot, not cracked paint. No puckering, nothing.<p>Worked exellent. Went and test drove it and the rubbing is gone. I am very very happy with the result. <p>Also the fender plastic has little hooks to keep it up, I managed to have it sit up with the fenders so you cant tell they are rolled, besides the plastic sits higher!<br>Now I can keep my wheels and the tires wont go to poop. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://********************/smile/emthup.gif" BORDER="0">

I rolled my fenders around a year ago, using one of those rollers you can buy. I rented it off some random dude online......worked amazing since my tires were 255/30/19's in the rear.
