I'm seriously considering getting an S60 R and have driven one from a used car lot (CarMax aprox 106 South) and it was nice, but I could not wind her out to see what she could do. Salesman was sitting next to me.

It was a 2004 with the 6 speed. What I am hoping is that there is a s60 R owner near by who would be willing to show me what an R can do. There would be a free lunch in it for the owner.
Plus this way I can talk to an actual owner etc.....

Any takers?

Re: Any one in Salt Lake City? (hewinutah)

I'm a half hour up the hill in Park City, lunches are a little more expensive here, and it a V70R, still stock.

edit: I don't think I've ever driven without closing in on redline, so it would be a good ride...the dealer in slc used to send people to me for the test ride from hell.

5 minutes from there, but my R isn't stock. My plate is "Got R". If the price is good I would go for it, the turbo at this altitude is a great advantage!

Let me know if I can help, the Southtown Volvo Dealership is great.

Re: (cloaked)

I would love to buy a brand new one, and I probably could swing the payment, but I don't want to give up other things in my life. So a low miliage used car will work for now.

What are the problems with the 2004's that I should be on the look out for?

Not every '04 is a lemon. If you can swing the '05, that is great, but our '04 has been pretty good so far!
