One thing that has irked me about our new S60.
Here in North Carolina, front license plates are not used. My car came "equipped" with a dealer advertising tag. I pulled the tag and bracket off to reveal two ugly holes in the plastic bumper made from the self tapping screws. For the time being, I put the black screws back in as they look better than the ragged holes. It's a shame that something as tiny as the screws/holes throw off the nice lines of the bumper.
Seems to me, cars that don't have any special mounting for a front license plate shouldn't be corrupted with self tapping screws unless of course a plate must be mounted.
I know I must sound anal but little things like this sometimes kill me.
Thanks!

Re: Any ideas on filling license plate holes? (Rhack)

If this car was originally from YOUR state and YOUR dealer punched the holes in it for their plate. make then fill and paint it or give you a new bumper. They have no right to do this. (Although you should have said something before you drove off with it)
If it was bought from another stste you're out of luck with them.
Onl other way is to have a body shop fill the holes and paint the bumper

Whats that they say about hindsight? Wish I thought about it while purchasing. The car was purchased here in NC from a local dealer. I'll inquire about whether they popped the holes in it. I have to bring the car in for a spoiler addition next week hopefully and will ask about it then. Thanks.

Rhack, I agree. Quite annoying. And any bra that you might buy will have the license plate cut-out in place. So, I have to agree with Deepnet that the best option is a body shop. I decided to put an old Swedish license plate on the front of mine, to cover the holes, and to show off, although it is technically illegal here in Nevada.

A small dot of color matched vinyl will be nearly invisible from anything more than a couple feet away. Vinyl sign shops often have scraps they'll give you for free.
