I've often thought that the glove box, when closed, has too much panel gap between it and the dash. When standing outside and lookin into the passenger window, if the light is right, I can even see into the closed box!
I took a look at the closure mechanism but it doesn't look like there's any adjustment that can be made. Has anyone else noticed the dreaded GBD? Any fix? I used the search but didn't find anything. Thanks!

I took it to the dealer under warranty and asked them to fix it. I believed the just shimmed something and put felt tape where it was plastic to plastic to limit the noise. Its better then before but still far from what I think it should be. Granted these cars were about $45k new..I had a 96 Honda Civic with 200k miles which i owned for 8 years and its held up better then my current car.

Re: Any fix for Glove Box Droop? (BigG)

Mine doesn't rattle much, thankfully, only droop. I'm not talking about 4" of space or anything, just an extra 1/8". I might go the sticky-felt-tape route and line the top of the seal with it.
Conversely to your Honda experience, I had a '95 for 14 years and it held up great because it had no luxury features and was slow as molasses. I wouldn't compare them.

I finally got to watch a Volvo mechanic adjust one of these.
He loosened the right side of the dash loosening two screws, one on the end of the dash and one in the inside of the glovebox, he then wiggled everything around so it lined up perfectly.
You actually move the dashboard, you do not touch the glovebox!
He actually then got the left side of the gloveboxdoor (the side that always droops) too tight and too close to the dash, he then had to loosen it al over again and just tapped it down a hair, then it became perfect.
