The 245 is getting the mechanical clean-up treatment next spring, and I'm toying with the idea of a motor swap rather than a rebuild. First thought was a B23 Turbo, then 351 Windsor popped into my head, then I wondered what a BMW E36 M3 motor would cost, then I realized I was getting silly. Anyway, anybody got any good suggestions, websites, etc to point me toward?

How about a Volkswagen 1.9 TDI

or the I5 from the fwd cars. It's been done, and that'd be very cool, while also good for 300hp.

Has anybody done a page on an I5 to 240 conversion? I'd love to get an idea of what's involved.
