Anti Skid error.... Solved ??

On mine it was a cracked and corroded ABS reluctor ring on one of the front wheels. The wally light would come and go and, of course, there is only a code there while the light is illuminated. It took a while for the light to come on and stay on long enough to get my iCarsoft V2.0 on it, and that picked it up straight away. I paid the dealer to fix it, and it was relatively inexpensive.

Looking on the UK forums it seems a lot of people spend time fannying about with clock springs etc, before it is eventually tracked down to this. Not uncommon on the XC90 as they age, apparently.

This doesn't sound like it could be my problem, because there was a SAS error code on vida, and the anti-skid error only comes on when I turn sharply to left (or maybe right too), even when stationary. Or do you still think it could be the ABS reluctor ring? I had no ABS error codes.
Drop the front wheels to have a look. It'll either confirm or eliminate that as a cause for nothing more than a small investment in time. I personally wouldn't make an assumption as to the cause simply because of the steering wheel position.

Knowing that it can cause the same warning messages it would not be sensible to dismiss it when it can be so easily checked - assumption is the mother of all foxtrot uniforms.

Having said that, by now I'd have just given it to the dealer and told them to phone me when it was properly diagnosed. You can get lucky, but generally the somewhat random, scattergun approach to fault diagnosis isn't very effective.
