Re: Anthracite 35ET TD Pro Race 2 installed on the R (BlazinBob)

Blazinbob,

I'm curious as to what the wheels weigh. Do you think that you could weigh your fifth mounted wheel and tire? Tirerack lists the weight of the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric in 235/40R18 as 25lbs.

I've found conflicting weights listed on the internet for the Team Dynamics pro race 1.2 in 18x8. On an Audi forum, I've found the +38 offset weight of an actual rim to be 20.8lbs. Some sites, like Viva, list it as starting at 19.8 lbs, while other sites that sell the rim, such as http://www.teamilluminata.com, list it as 22 lbs.

FYI, teamilluminata.com lists the 18x8 for $252/wheel with free shipping and charges $5 per wheel if you want a custom hubcentric bore (65.1 mm) rather than using a hubcentric ring.

Cheers,

Jeff

Wheels were about $240 ea., I would contact [email protected] for any further questions on pricing. I know he is expecting more stock of the 18x8 Hi-power silver soon, and custom colors/specs will need like 10-12 weeks lead time.

I weighed my 18x8 wheel/Goodyear F1 Eagle Asymmetric (235/40/18) and got about 47lbs for the combo on the "uncalibrated" bathroom scale. Seems about right.

I dig them, nice color too http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

The only that I don't like is the "Team Dynamics Motorsport" lettering, its a bit too bold and in your face.

Very nicely done! http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

Now, you want to consider painting the hats on your rotors to finish the look and maybe get some gray brake paint (bake after painting) for the lug bolts.

Good suggestions. I was considering 2-piece rotors for a for finished look with fancier hats. Speaking of hats, there is a screw on each of the stock rotor hats that had to come off to mount these wheels. Not a necessary part, just FYI. I also had my alignment checked and I will be installing the IPD rear camber kit to get rid of/reduce negative camber (-2.0 IIRC) after installing the TME springs.
