Did you do it hot? That's still pretty great compression, must run like a charm?
Besides my current AWD issue, it runs like a champ :D

I also did it cold.

155-145-155-150-135

#5 cold was a bit concerning, could have been a poor seal on the gauge, but the hot numbers are good. I don't trust the gauge's accuracy for true compression, but it's good to see that the numbers are quite even.

How'd you clean the injectors?
A shop local to me will check them and clean them for a decent price.

Good old Bosch quality for you. Are you running blue injectors?
Yep. Bosch 0280155830

That's quite the bummer on the AWD, it's unfortunate Volvo didn't build things a little sturdier. On the bright side that's probably the least bad of problems you could have=)
Not Volvo, but Haldex. Still pulls quite nicely without AWD in dry conditions :D

I've got junk in the trunk.

Thanks guy, would be much better with AWD and the car cleared out. (two kids seats unoccupied of course, tools, and so on)

That flashing light is traction control, (you can see that boost is puled slightly, should be 15-17psi), or else the wheels would have kept spinning once traction was broken.

Great...

Driving down the highway and a large stone flew up from nowhere and hit my windshield right close to th PS wiper blade in the black area. Instant spider crack spreading about 10"-12" from the impact site. Time to search for a replacement.

Yeah I know. Speedy is using Pilkington, at least that's what the sales rep told me. That price includes installation. I'll be glad to have a new windshield because mine was a bit scratched and chipped, but a new windshield before winter , hope it survives.

So after a 1.5 years with the poly mounts I've change out the upper engine mount back to the stock square mount. Stated last year that the colder weather made the mounts less flexible an caused more vibrations, and this year I find that I'm less tolerant of it. The stock mount eliminated a lot of what I was feeling at idle.

I still have the poly transmission mount, strut mount inserts, and the small bushing on the stabilizer bar. The ride still feels very connected, but I've also thought about changing out the transmission mount back to stock, maybe just changing out the small bushing for poly.

Durability was also a selling point.

IMO, with the options out there you can tune the mounts to your liking. The transmission mount comes in OE hard, OE soft, full poly, or you can purchase either the large or small bushing in poly while keeping the other OE. Strut mounts are OE, poly inserts, or solid (Bob Villa Mod or IPD conversion). Upper Engine mount has many options from various supliers.

I'm sorry, my juvenile humor slipped past the sensors yet again!

Sent from my SM-G900R4 using Tapatalk
Little room for humor in my day. Sick with a sick 1yo, a rambunctious 3yo, and part way through a renovation. I had time to swap in the mount when they were both KOed in their car seats.

Just wondering what pod mounts you used for your two gauges?. I want to do the same thing to my XC70. Can you direct me to the source. Love your ride. You gave me inspiration and a much lighter wallet.
Was a A-pillar mount from a scrapped Honda. Dougy has done something similar using trade size 2" ABS or PVC, can't remember. Quite sure the instrument bezel is made of ABS.

Here's a link to something similar.

"this mount, this mount that's made to absorb vibrations, LETS MAKE IT HARDER!!! Don't worry guys, it's a great idea! We'll sell it to gullible souls on the grounds that it's a performance increase! Harder is better!
Totally agree!

Today swapped out the transmission mount (did it without jacking up the car. XC)to the OE Soft and man if it wasn't for the gentle rocking of the 5pot and my exhaust I'd forget my engine is running. GT shifting and launching feel a bit disconnected, but transmission shifts like butter and there is less resonance through the cabin. I don't care about the added "performance" I much enjoy the feel of the OE mounts even if it means I have to change them out more often.

 Polyurethane Engine Mounts

I'm still enjoying the sub-frame inserts and the stabilizer bar inserts (might even try the bob-villa mod when if I get the time to apply it).
