Hey peeps...I'm a new owner of a C70 Coupe...
Looking forward to learning as much as possible since at the moment I don't know squat about Volvos...never owned one before. Anyway here's a pic. It's a 2000 LPT (whoops, I know)...I just bought some new rims for it that will be installed sometime next week.
http://i87.photobucket.com/alb...s.jpg
and the 18 in wheels...
http://i87.photobucket.com/alb...z.jpg

Darn those original 16" LPT wheels are disgusting! Your new wheels wil definitely add something to the car.
Just out of curiosity: how much did you pay for your new jewel? Whats the mileage?
I hope you had black cars before: they are hell to keep clean...

Congrats with the buy! Can't say I would be too happy with an LPT, if you've driven a HPT you'd know, but none the less, you're the proud owner of a cool looking car!
Good looking wheels too!

Re: Another new guy (Barry)

Thanks for the replies guys. To be honest with you I wasn't suppose to buy a Volvo...I was suppose to buy a Passat..I knew absolutely zero about the C70 or any other Volvo. I didn't do any research on them at all. It was a fluke thing. I saw the car, liked it, and bought it that's it. I traded a 98 Eclipse GS (3k) plus cash for it...the C70 was 9k with 84k miles on it.
Later that night is when I found out about the HPT...I was like (f***). Oh well too late now.
I have contacted Upsolute to put a chip in for me...and hopefully a quiet exhaust (IPD?) and the K&N filter kit. I should be a bit more respectable after those mods I hope
I'll happily listen to anyone elses advice for performance gains without hurting reliability!
About the black car...this is my 2nd one and I know it's a pain..but they look so sweet when clean!
Thanks guys...great forum.

Re: Another new guy (jcuadrado)

If you can hold off the ECU chip for a little while longer (maybe 2 months or so) IPD is on the brink of releasing a softloader for their ECU software which is said to be at a competitive price!
I can definitely hold off on the ECU...I'm in no hurry...what kind of gains does the IDP program give? And by competitive price...what's competitive? Upsolute is about $4 bills and claims 40hp....
